God said, "Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the birds of the sky, and over the livestock, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth."
God created man in his own image. In God’s image he created him; male and female he created them.
God said, "Behold, I have given you every herb yielding seed, which is on the surface of all the earth, and every tree, which bears fruit yielding seed. It will be your food.
Whoever sheds man’s blood, his blood will be shed by man, for God made man in his own image.
Now Yahweh said to Abram, "Get out of your country, and from your relatives, and from your father’s house, to the land that I will show you.
I will make of you a great nation. I will bless you and make your name great. You will be a blessing.
Yahweh appeared to him by the oaks of Mamre, as he sat in the tent door in the heat of the day.
He lifted up his eyes and looked, and saw that three men stood opposite him. When he saw them, he ran to meet them from the tent door, and bowed himself to the earth,
and said, "My lord, if now I have found favor in your sight, please don’t go away from your servant.
I will get a morsel of bread so you can refresh your heart. After that you may go your way, now that you have come to your servant." They said, "Very well, do as you have said."
It happened at that time, that Abimelech and Phicol the captain of his army spoke to Abraham, saying, "God is with you in all that you do.
Now it happened after the death of Moses the servant of Yahweha, that Yahweh spoke to Joshua the son of Nun, Moses’ servant, saying,
Blessed is the man who doesn’t walk in the counsel of the wicked, nor stand in the way of sinners, nor sit in the seat of scoffers;
I will tell of the decree. Yahweh said to me, "You are my son. Today I have become your father.
But you, Yahweh, are a shield around me,
my glory, and the one who lifts up my head.
I cry to Yahweh with my voice,
and he answers me out of his holy hill.
I laid myself down and slept.
I awakened; for Yahweh sustains me.
Save me, my God!
For you have struck all of my enemies on the cheek bone.
You have broken the teeth of the wicked.
a Answer me when I call, God of my righteousness. Give me relief from my distress. Have mercy on me, and hear my prayer.
But know that Yahweh has set apart for himself him who is godly:
Yahweh will hear when I call to him.
You have put gladness in my heart,
more than when their grain and their new wine are increased.
In peace I will both lay myself down and sleep,
for you, Yahweh alone, make me live in safety.
From the lips of babes and infants you have established strength, because of your adversaries, that you might silence the enemy and the avenger.
what is man, that you think of him? What is the son of man, that you care for him?
For you have made him a little lower than God b, and crowned him with glory and honor.
You make him ruler over the works of your hands. You have put all things under his feet:
aHelp, Yahweh; for the godly man ceases.
For the faithful fail from among the children of men.
“Because of the oppression of the weak and because of the groaning of the needy,
I will now arise,” says Yahweh;
“I will set him in safety from those who malign him.”
he will make your righteousness go forth as the light, and your justice as the noon day sun.
A man’s goings are established by Yahweh. He delights in his way.
You have loved righteousness, and hated wickedness. Therefore God, your God, has anointed you with the oil of gladness above your fellows.
aHave mercy on me, God, according to your loving kindness. According to the multitude of your tender mercies, blot out my transgressions.
Wash me thoroughly from my iniquity.
Cleanse me from my sin.
Against you, and you only, have I sinned, and done that which is evil in your sight; that you may be proved right when you speak, and justified when you judge.
Behold, you desire truth in the inward parts. You teach me wisdom in the inmost place.
Purify me with hyssop, and I will be clean. Wash me, and I will be whiter than snow.
Let me hear joy and gladness, That the bones which you have broken may rejoice.
Create in me a clean heart, O God.
Renew a right spirit within me.
a Yahweh, the God of my salvation, I have cried day and night before you.
For he will deliver you from the snare of the fowler, and from the deadly pestilence.
He will cover you with his feathers. Under his wings you will take refuge. His faithfulness is your shield and rampart.
Yahweh, remember David and all his affliction,
Whoever mocks the poor reproaches his Maker. He who is glad at calamity shall not be unpunished.
But now thus says Yahweh who created you, Jacob, and he who formed you, Israel: "Don’t be afraid, for I have redeemed you. I have called you by your name. You are mine.
The Lord Yahweh has given me the tongue of those who are taught, that I may know how to sustain with words him who is weary: he wakens morning by morning, he wakens my ear to hear as those who are taught.
The Lord Yahweh has opened my ear, and I was not rebellious, neither turned away backward.
For the Lord Yahweh will help me; therefore I have not been confounded: therefore have I set my face like a flint, and I know that I shall not be disappointed.
He is near who justifies me; who will bring charges against me? Let us stand up together: who is my adversary? Let him come near to me.
Behold, the Lord Yahweh will help me; who is he who shall condemn me? Behold, they all shall wax old as a garment, the moth shall eat them up.
For he grew up before him as a tender plant, and as a root out of dry ground. He has no good looks or majesty. When we see him, there is no beauty that we should desire him.
The hand of Yahweh was on me, and he brought me out in the Spirit of Yahweh, and set me down in the midst of the valley; and it was full of bones.
He caused me to pass by them all around: and behold, there were very many in the open valley; and behold, they were very dry.
He said to me, “Son of man, can these bones live?”
I answered, “Lord Yahweh, you know.“
Again he said to me, “Prophesy over these bones, and tell them, ‘You dry bones, hear the word of Yahweh.’ ”
He answered and spoke to those who stood before him, saying, “Take the filthy garments off of him.” To him he said, “Behold, I have caused your iniquity to pass from you, and I will clothe you with rich clothing.”
Hear now, Joshua the high priest, you and your fellows who sit before you; for they are men who are a sign: for, behold, I will bring forth my servant, the Branch.
Then Jesus was led up by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil.
He said to the man who had his hand withered, "Stand up."
When he had looked around at them with anger, being grieved at the hardening of their hearts, he said to the man, "Stretch out your hand." He stretched it out, and his hand was restored as healthy as the other.

When Peter had come to himself, he said, "Now I truly know that the Lord has sent out his angel and delivered me out of the hand of Herod, and from everything the Jewish people were expecting."
But he, beckoning to them with his hand to be silent, declared to them how the Lord had brought him out of the prison. He said, "Tell these things to James, and to the brothers." Then he departed, and went to another place.
Paul, looking steadfastly at the council, said, "Brothers, I have lived before God in all good conscience until this day."
For the commandments, "You shall not commit adultery," "You shall not murder," "You shall not steal," "You shall not give false testimony,"[a] "You shall not covet," [b] and whatever other commandments there are, are all summed up in this saying, namely, "You shall love your neighbor as yourself." [c]
But I write the more boldly to you in part, as reminding you, because of the grace that was given to me by God,
Behold, we call them blessed who endured. You have heard of the patience of Job, and have seen the Lord in the outcome, and how the Lord is full of compassion and mercy.
and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. If he has committed sins, he will be forgiven.
